Specialties Petit Louis offers a Parisian bistro style environment in the Northern section of Baltimore City, offering a daily gathering spot for locals to eat, drink, socialize, celebrate, catch up, or simply enjoy its charming ability to be many types of restaurants in one location. Petit Louis Bistro is an easy choice for a well-executed casual dinner, a pre-theatre meal, or a multi-course "occasion" dinner, as well as everything in between; it specializes in food and atmosphere without rules, limitations or requirements. Our vast wine list is comprised of a wide range of selections from all the wine-producing regions of France that make sense with Louis' classic kitchen.
History Established in 2000. Drawing on their personal enjoyment of similar venues throughout France, Tony Foreman and Cindy Wolf created a food and atmosphere combination which they knew Baltimore was lacking. Petit Louis is inspired by the Granddaddy of all Bistros, Chez L'Ami Louis, in Paris where the service there is extremely charismatic and knowledgeable, and the wine list is quite good, but you quickly realize that inside those doors, Food is King. Our menu offers a variety of classic French bistro dishes while highlighting the freshest seasonal and regional ingredients. Savor Steak Frites, Confit de Canard, Poulet à L'Estragon, Truite Almondine, Escargot de Bourgogne, Cassoulet, and Boeuf Bourguignon among our selections.
