About Dry Creek Grill is the latest creation of local residents John and Holly Smith. Before conceptualizing Dry Creek Grill, Holly and John Smith ran and still run another restaurant in the Willow Glen area of San Jose. They felt that San Jose needed a quality steak, burger, and barbeque place that also offered a unique type of upscale ambiance with laid back and comfortable feel. Thus came along Dry Creek Grill. Prime steaks, super slow cooked barbeque, burgers that use meat ground in house, hand mixed cocktails, wine and beer that creates an experience like no other. Here you can have the best of both worlds, the fun, lip-smacking barbeque food combined with an upscale ambiance that doesn't require snobby, irksome ties, impersonally spaced out chairs and hushed conversations. The bar is lively, without being loud. The crowd is casual but fashionable all the same. We bring in local talent to play live music from time to time. THE STORY BEHIND DCG Holly and John Smith, owners of Dry Creek Grill, are passionate about creating restaurants. Dry Creek Grill was born out of John and Holly's desire to create a restaurant they personally would love to experience. Inspired by the idea of creating an upscale, but laid back, steakhouse that offered great steaks, burgers and barbeque, John and Holly began to work on the vision for the restaurant years before opening. The goal was simple. Great steaks from the finest beef, mouthwatering burgers, authentic pit smoked barbeque, artisan quality ingredients, and the ambiance of upscale dining that is warm and inviting for diners, a night on the town, or toasting friends in the bar. John and Holly hope that you enjoy Dry Creek Grill. Serving their guests with a meal that makes them happy and an experience that keeps them coming back is what they are all about.
